What’s in Your Top Ten?
Not another rating list I hear you say. The trouble with rating lists is that they are so unpredictable and usually biased towards some age range or perspective.
As I work from home each day I have the radio on all the time. I used to listen to Talksport radio most of the day, but I am tired and fed up with too many pundits winding me up and talking nonsense. So being a music fan I have switched to a station that funnily enough plays music. Many of the music stations play songs that seem to come from another planet. Yes I know I am getting too old so not up with all the hip hits.
However, as well as Planet Rock, I recently found another good UK radio station called Greatest Hits which not only plays great music and a lot from my era but plays Bruce Springsteen! Well, when I say that, so far I have only heard the same two Boss songs. One is “Born to Run” so you can probably guess the other. Nevertheless, I am converted.
They also do a great pop quiz in the morning which is a good rehearsal for our Sunday pub quiz even though I shamefully score very low most of the time.
