Me and the wife at our last Springsteen concert: Wembley Stadium, June 2016

On Saturday 28th April Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band kicked off the start of their European tour in Barcelona. The show blasted off in full swing with what sounds like a tremendous show. The song “Human Touch” was a bonus to a fantastic setlist.

This is the month that I will experience the band for the first time since June 2016. That seems so long ago now. The world seems to have changed significantly since then. We have had Brexit, Trump, a pandemic, Putin’s invasion and I have become an uncle. Well, I will be a monkey’s uncle I hear you say! Springsteen and the mighty E Street Band are back to restore some sanity and a bit of faith as there will be magic in the night. I am so excited that this will be the first of five Springsteen concerts I will attend over the next three months.

Springsteen aficionado writer Paul Combs has already experienced the tour in the US and below is his fine article on the event.
