My Wimbledon Rant
I’m getting too old and Tetchy
The other day I went onto Twitter for one reason and that was to look at the latest Springsteen setlists. I visit Twitter far less now due to all the vile comments.
The problem is that as soon as you go on you seem to get directed to some of the latest stand-out tweets. I saw a clip from some frenzied American woman at some convention shouting that “the heroes that stormed the beaches of Normandy who faced down Communism sadly don’t recognise their country anymore”. What?!
I mean seriously how bad has it got? Has history education got that dreadful? Then I saw a tweet from Marjorie Taylor Greene which put me in full despair mode so I came off it immediately. I mean how do these people get elected?
So I had a choice to have a rant about what is going on in America but that would take far too long and not only would I not know where to start but it would reduce me to a quivering mess.
Also being from the UK it is probably not my place as we have our own problems over here. America is a great country full of good people and I will leave it to one of our very own good people from Medium Paul Combs to continue to write articles and keep us informed of all the madness that is going on.
