My Sporting Heroes: Part 3 Other Sports
I was about to publish this article the week our Queen sadly passed away. As there is a small rant about a person who has not been knighted I thought it was not appropriate to publish and neither the following week of her funeral. The rant was never in any way to criticise our dear Queen but the system and the people behind making recommendations for knighthoods.
With my favourite sports, Tennis, and football now covered, I am now turning my attention to other genres. There are so many sporting personalities I have admired and followed over the years but to avoid tediousness I have deliberated and narrowed it down to three. Before I start there are a few honourable mentions that were in contention for my list
Athletics: Sebastian Coe, Ed Moses, Michael Johnson
Golf: Nick Faldo
Rugby Union: Rory Underwood, Jason Robinson
Boxing: Sugar Ray Leonard
Motor Racing: Jean Alesi
Gymnastics: Olga Korbut
