My Home Memorabilia

On my 60th birthday party, someone bought me a lovely little present. It wasn’t the most expensive present or something you would normally expect but of all the presents I received it gave me the warmest smile. More about that later.

This got me thinking about all my memorabilia hanging in our house. These change over the years and as I lived on my own for a considerable amount of time, there were lots of man things hanging up there as bachelors are known to do. When your loved one moves in, we all know things change. Let’s face it the woman knows better when it comes to the layout of the house, but we do take umbrage when things disappear from the walls or go missing.

Females are extremely cunning and intelligent. They don’t do this in one big sweep as they know that would be too obvious. It is done slowly and subtly over a period of time. They know that men are not always the most observant of people so every now and then a piece of memorabilia is moved into a less obvious place for hiding or it just goes missing.

Although I did once have a picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar on the wall (don’t ask, I was much younger when I moved into my house). That came down immediately! I also used to collect Film Posters and at one time Dances with Wolves, The Godfather and The Shawshank Redemption were proudly hanging on the…
