Ever since I read both Paul Combs and Alex Markham’s great articles below about their choice of book-to-screen adaptions, I wanted to write an article on my selections.
However, my brain went into turmoil when I started on my selection. As much as I loved the book, I wasn’t that bowled over by the film. It has been stated many times that it is rare for a film adaptation to surpass the original book.
Subsequently, I am writing this article with a twist. I will select some other of my favourite books and then comment on the screen adaptation of that book and whether I liked it or not.
