Is Fawlty Towers Faultless Comedy?

As I did crime last time, the perfect antidote to that is comedy.

Of all the genres, comedy is probably the most subjective. What one finds hilariously funny, another can remain stone face and unimpressed with what is going on. My wife is the perfect example especially when it comes to my beloved Marx Brothers. She will either leave the room or often look at me in utter astonishment when I am rolling around laughing my head off at something I find so funny.

There have been so many great comedy series over the years that it is going to be hard to list all the ones that have had an impact on me. On the flip side, there have also been an equal number of awful ones that didn’t even warrant a second series.

Once again before I highlight my top pick, I will have a go at picking out the ones that came to my immediate mind when I thought of this subject.
