Paul Combs tagged me in on this writing prompt which has had me reflect on it for quite a while. In his article, Paul mentioned he was vexed. Well, he has vexed me as well. In fact, I am so vexed that I am vexing lyrical. Apologies I will get my coat!

When I first thought of this prompt I thought I would list several Springsteen albums but after thinking harder about my youth, I surprised myself with what I came up with. Believe me, thinking hard hurts at my age.

I had a strange youth. I wrote an article a while ago about my background and my schooling and because of all this, I had quite a lonely adolescence. After leaving public school where friends came from all parts of the country and even the world I had none of them around me, so it took me time to adjust, grow up and get to grips with life. I didn’t go out a lot and spent a great deal of time on my own playing records until my confidence grew.

Subsequently rather than picking a particular period I am going to pick five significant albums from different stages of my teens to my early twenties.
