Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band are the Best Live Act Ever!

Reflections on a wonderful two weeks following Springsteen by trains, trams, and automobiles

Villa Park, Birmingham was the twentieth time seeing the Boss and then I followed this up with another concert in Dusseldorf last week. This may seem like a lot of concerts to some but to many hard-core Springsteen fans, it is just a pittance.

I have to say that I didn’t expect the concerts to be as fantastic as they were. Because it is Springsteen and the E Street Band, I knew there were going to be great, but they even exceeded my high expectations. My last three concerts on this tour have been some of the greatest I have ever seen the band. I mean that very sincerely. The sound of the band, Bruce’s voice, and possibly the venues have all added to the superlative sound of the greatest rock band in the world.

One has to remember most of the E Street Band are coming up to their mid seventy’s and at each gig, they are giving their all smashing some of the greatest rock songs that Springsteen has ever written.

I heard on a sports radio show the other day about a certain response to one of our young English footballers bemoaning about the number of games they have to play. The response to this was to quote…
