Last Thursday and Saturday I went to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. My Springsteen concerts have now surpassed twenty-five. That is no real feat but each time they are always the highlight of my year. While Saturday was fantastic, Thursday night was simply magical.

Thursday may not have been the best Springsteen concert I have seen over many years but my goodness it came so very close. Earls Court in 1999 may top it especially because we had the Big Man and Danny (siempre con nosostros) but I don’t think many others do.

I didn’t go with any expectations about the songs he would play that night. I have learned not to over the years and just go with the flow. It is always such a great night whatever tracks he plays.

The trouble with Springsteen is that he has written so many brilliant songs over the years that it would take a weeklong concert to get in all our favourite songs.

This is especially pertinent to me, Alex Markham, and Paul Combs who let’s be honest are Springsteen nerds. Some of our favourite songs never even made any official album.
