After watching this film again for the umpteenth time on TV (I even own the DVD!), I was going to write a piece in it on Medium but can't really top your review of it here. It REALLY IS the best British Film ever made. I still get goosebumps when we see that iconic shot of Harry Lime for the first time. I never understand why some people refuse to watch a film because it is in Black and White and I encourage any movie lover young or old whi has not seen it to watch this film.
